On 27 January 2026, Brescia House School celebrated St Angela’s Feast Day, marked our 60th birthday, and blessed a new and deeply symbolic Ursuline Crucifix sculpture — all in one extraordinary day.The celebrations reflected everything Brescia House School stands for. After the blessing, our campus came alive with laughter as our girls enjoyed cupcakes, bubbles, music and cross-grade sisterhood celebration. At the heart of the day was the blessing of our new crucifix. Inspired by the Ursuline crucifix, it reminds us that Christ’s love is gentle, constant and full of hope. Reimagined for the world our girls are growing up in, the open steel cross allows light to pass through — a symbol of a faith that is living, growing and open. From the side, Christ appears broken and fragmented. But when you stand directly in front of the crucifix, those pieces fall into place — reminding us that when life feels confusing, God’s love is still holding the bigger picture together. On the back of the crucifix, the word SERVIAM — “I will serve” — is traced out in the stars of the Ursa Minor constellation, just as it appears in the night sky. Like a constellation, it guides us, helping us find our direction and reminding us of who we are called to be.Today was more than a celebration. It was a moment of gratitude, a reminder of who we are and who we are still becoming.Happy Feast Day, Happy Birthday, Brescia House School.
