SA Biathle and Triathle Champs

The SA Biathle and Triathle Champs recently took place at Somerset College in Somerset West.

Brescia House School pupil Isla Thomas had some great races in tough weather conditions. She placed 9th in the u/15 Biathle champs held on the Saturday (Biathle consists of 2 x 800m runs and 1 x 100m swim). On the Sunday, she placed 7th in the u/15 Triathle champs (3 x 600m runs, 3 x 5 laser pistol shoots and 2 x 50m swims). We are delighted to announce that subsequent to these achievements, Isla has qualified for the South African Modern Pentathlon Association (SAMPA) Team for the World Champs in Madeira, Portugal from 26-30 October 2022. She will participate in the U/15 Triathle Team and she is first reserve for the U/15 Biathle Team. Congratulations Isla.
