Alexandra-Amsinck-_20180601-112049_1

Towards the end of the first term 7 High School pupils submitted work for the National Eisteddfod Academy Youth artist award 2018 competition.

The organisers of the festival stipulated that only work of a very high standard should be entered. The criteria for works that are submitted is that the work / the pupil doing the work should have already been recognised in other festivals for the level of their skill, or that they have been selected for internal exhibitions, based on the level of skill shown in the work.

Alexandra Tserkezis, Stephanie Merchak, Hannah Silcock, Taeya Dukes, Jessica Frohlich and Alexandra Amsinck all received certificates for having work selected to be exhibited at the final exhibition – which was displayed at the final prize giving evening.

Hannah Silcock received the award for the best work in the grade 9 category and Alexandra Amsinck received the award for the best work in the grade 11 category. Well done girls.
