Co-curricular Activites

CULTURAL

Cultural activities are active and vibrant in Brescia Primary School:

Music

Brescia House has a thriving music department and offers many opportunities to make music a part of school life. A healthy balance between the pursuit of excellence and providing a variety of enjoyable and creative opportunities for all pupils remains our main objective.

Music Tuition

There are three full-time staff members and ten part-time teachers in the Music Department; all teachers are experienced specialists in their fields. Individual music tuition takes place in the afternoons and lessons are offered in voice, piano, violin, recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe and classical guitar. Music pupils are encouraged to play in one of the many concerts during the school year and to participate in instrumental ensembles.

Marimbas

The marimba band allows learners an exciting opportunity to unleash their musical rhythm.

Choirs

Brescia House has four choirs, offering an opportunity for choral singing to all girls form grades 1 to 12. Choirs perform at major school functions and participate in concerts, festivals and Eisteddfod, as well as singing in Mass.

Drama

Drama is offered as an exciting extra-mural at Brescia. It requires lots of commitment and effort but the rewards are well worth it!

Clubs

Learners are encouraged to join clubs such as fabric painting, beading, debating and stitch craft

"The greatest gift that girls of Brescia House School can give to the community is their time"

Brescia House Serviam girls do a lot more than give of their time.  They are involved in collecting blankets, food, warm clothes and toys; visiting the SPCA, local schools and needy charities; and developing a spirit of giving throughout the school.

Brescia House girls are known for their generous hearts and the Serviam Club continues to grow in numbers, generosity and commitment.
